Congratulations to BSc Accounting and Finance graduate, Najam Saqib who won the inaugural Chartered Accountants South East (CASE) Prize awarded to the student with the highest grades in our final year Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) accredited modules.

The new award, with a cash prize of £500, was given by CASE President Robbie Brown, who came to last week’s graduation ceremony and presented the cheque to Najam.

At Surrey Business School, one of the key ways they enhance their Accounting and Finance BSc students’ employability is their accreditation with five professional examining bodies. This gives them a flying start to their career as it gives students the option of exemption from professional accountancy examinations.

“I’m really proud to receive this award – it’s a great way to end my time at Surrey. It feels good to see that all my hard work has paid off, and I’m excited to take the next step and start studying towards the ACA qualification.” Najam Saqib, Graduate.

“Many congratulations to Najam for this outstanding achievement. We wish him all the best with his studies for the ACA qualification, and for a successful and fulfilling career in accountancy and finance.” Robbie Brown, President, Chartered Accountants South East.
